The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) will host an event to celebrate women in the construction sector on Friday, 18 August 2023.

Scheduled to take place at the Wild Coast Sun, the event will include women from the Winnie Madikizela-
Mandela, Ingquza Hill and Port St Johns local municipalities within the Wild Coast region.

SANRAL is undertaking the N2 Wild Coast Road (N2WCR) programme in the region. Valued at over R20
billion, the project includes the construction of the Mtentu and Msikaba mega bridges and the new N2
highway which will reduce travel time along the N2 from East London to Port Edward by up to three hours.
The event will celebrate women in construction, women in leadership, as well as women with impactful
community involvement.

Through the event, SANRAL will also underscore opportunities for the participation of women in its N2WCR
programme, as well as outline how women have benefited from the project thus far.
